I offer classes, parties and troop gatherings in fused glass and mosaics. Check out the links below for a quick explanation of the different classes and activities offered. Contact me with questions or to schedule a class time. Classes run from 60 minutes to 3 hours depending upon the activity chosen. Minimum of five for a class session. (I also offer birthday parties, girls' night out, etc.)
In this 3 hour session, we create stepping stones from paver stones. We talk glass safety and finish with grouting the stones, so they're ready to take with you!
Glass fusing classes can vary from 60 minutes to 2 hours depending upon the projects selected. Generally, we make a plate, a sun catcher and some pendants. The pieces will be left behind to be fired in the kiln and are available to pick up in 5-7 days.
Artist Residency at Riley Elementary, Lincoln, Nebraska
Nebraska City and Syracuse Middle School Afterschool Glass Art Clubs created collaborative glass curtains to hang in their respective schools in the style of Wayne Thiebaud using recycled glass. They also created fused glass bugs, snowflakes, dishes, sun catchers and pendants.
During a two week period, I worked with k-12th grade students in Polk and Clarks, Nebraska. The students created two large collaborative mosaics that hang in the middle school and high school. Kindergarten and 1st grade students made stepping stones. 2nd-4th grade students made fused glass tiles and mobiles.
